Who we are
Whitebox Architects is an Athens-based architecture studio founded in 2002 by architects Panos Kokkalidis and Alice Triantafillidou. Since 2006, architect Anna Drella has been part of the practice.
For over two decades, we design residences, hospitality and commercial projects guided by a consistent architectural language rather than a predetermined formula. Our work is recognised for its clarity of form, balanced proportions and enduring character, while each project is carefully shaped by its site, its climate and the people who will inhabit it.
We believe timeless architecture is never imposed on a place—it grows from it. Natural materials are selected in dialogue with their surroundings, bioclimatic principles inform every design decision, and each space is composed to feel intuitive, effortless and quietly harmonious.
From the first concept to the final detail, every element is considered as part of a coherent whole. We design buildings meant to be lived in—and to become more meaningful over time.
Putting our focus on
changing the way people
think of space and
architecture.
Focus
Our focus lies in creating timeless architecture — blending clean geometry, natural materials, and thoughtful light to enhance the way people live, work, and connect.
Every project begins with a deep understanding of context and identity, ensuring that each space tells its own story while maintaining harmony with its surroundings.
Context
Every place carries its own identity — a memory, a texture, a rhythm.
Before drawing a single line, we listen to these subtleties: the way light falls, how air moves, how people gather.
Our architecture grows from this understanding, shaping spaces that belong naturally to their surroundings while enhancing the life that unfolds within them.
Experience
With decades of experience across residential, commercial, and large-scale projects, our work reflects a deep understanding of space, proportion, and detail.
Each collaboration is guided by precision and care — from the first sketch to the final construction.
Through years of practice, we’ve learned that true experience lies not only in what we build, but in how we listen, interpret, and bring vision to life.
